The tough part of changing bowls is that you need an I.D. tube puller to get the new bowl on without collapsing the shift tube injection joint. I think it would be easier to put the FX4 seats and goodies on an XLT than to convert an FX4 into column shift. Even after converting, you'll have that hole in the floor of a new truck. Using a screwdriver and a hammer, tap it off.
